Bandcamp announce more fee waiver dates to support bands and artists

Bandcamp is once again forgoing its share of sales for a 24-hour period this Friday (May 1st). They have also announced that the initiative will also repeat on June 5th and July 3rd, and will last from 12AM to 11:59PM PST.

Bandcamp experimented with this idea back in March and it was a great success, where fans spent $4.3 million on the site. Usually the website collects 15% of sales from digital music and 10% from physical goods, but this is a great way for fans to help out their favorite bands during this difficult time and it goes to show they did, with 15 times the amount spent than on a typical Friday.

With live music venues still having a question mark hanging over them with no clear date of when they can re-open and tours/gigging circuits cancelled, lets not forget that when the venues do re-open, please go out and support them as best you can, they need us now more than ever too!
